Alice Lam: Tigerstedt Flea Pop-up Market
If you don’t already know Alice Lam, it’s probably just a matter of time. Alice is one of Calgary’s most prolific community builders and is a tireless champion of Calgary and of Crescent Heights. She was a founding board member of the Crescent Heights Village BIA, she was a driving force behind the creation and ongoing operation of the Calgary Community Fridge, she’s currently running a program to deliver 1,000 bouquets of flowers to isolated Calgary seniors in 2021. She’s also the founder of Volly, an app that connects volunteers with non-profits and, of course, she is a founder of the Tigerstedt Flea Pop-up Market in Crescent Heights Village.
The market is a co-op/consignment model that brings local makers, artists, vintage hunters and importers together for an eclectic shopping experience completely unique in Calgary. You’ll find products made by children and seniors and everyone in between in this cute, inclusive microcosm of retail goodness on Calgary’s iconic Tigerstedt Block.
